The Killers: Part I

The first goal of this project was to capture the emotion, sound and feeling of a song graphically through the use of point, line, shape, and color. Close your eyes and try to visualize the song through your body, "Tell your mind to take a hike." How does the music make you feel? Happy? Sad? Angry? Where does the music take you.....Visually. Now take all your powers, all your senses to create a graphically compelling piece of  representing that song. I chose to do this with the song, Mr. Brightside by The Killers.

The Killers: Part II

As I completed the Experiential Poster for the song I realized this project had (legs), I could take this even further. The next part involved a rebrand of there first album release, HOT FUSS. Mr. Brightside is the perfect song that embodies the album, taking the work I had done I continued my experimentation into what the Album Art would be. Followed by Tour Posters, Merchandise, Billboards, and I conveniently got to see them live to get the full experience.

HOT FUSS Review:

.....When HOT FUSS came out in '04, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost..
